Pennsylvania representatives are fighting to pass stricter laws on behalf of teen driving. The reasons being comes from the rise in fatalities among those ages 16 to 19 in addition to their red light report card grade from the Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety. A disturbing statistic from the article stated that,"Nearly three of every 10 people killed in a teen-driver crash were traveling in other vehicles and had no relation to the teen." One main rule under the proposed bill would restrict, "drivers under age 18 to one nonfamily passenger younger than 18" which has been one source of debate concerning the legislation.
