A Taiwanese-owned company called Wintek has been held legally responsible for allowing its employees to work in risky health and dangerous work conditions inside its factories. These Apple manufacturing overseas supplier companies in China have led employees to organize protest, hire lawyers and lobby politicians. Wintek has tried to satisfy its workers and keep them quiet by ensuring compensation for medical bills or sick leave.
